One Nation Under God

This is the third biennial celebration of One Nation Under God.  (Click here to view promotional video.)  In 2016 the Hood County Pastor Council hosted a special prayer campaign during the weeks leading up to our national elections in late October 2016.  An estimated 5,000 people from over 25 churches and ministries participated. The event was called ONE NATION UNDER GOD which is inspired by those same special words in our Pledge of Allegiance. The Prayer Task Force was involved in the planning of this campaign.

The Hood County Prayer Task Force and the Hood County Pastor Council again teamed up to host a similar worship and prayer gathering in 2018. It was held on November 4th in Hewlett Park in Granbury, Texas with about 1,000 people participating.

The event title is a powerful reminder that, as Americans, we are to endeavor to be one nation united under the authority of Almighty God. Unfortunately, the reality is we are a nation far from God. In fact, we are a people who often try to separate ourselves from God by any means possible and even the Body of Christ isn’t always united.

Each of these campaigns included 21 days of prayer and daily e-mail devotionals.  Click here to read or print the devotionals from 2018.  Those for 2020 will be published on this website in November.
