Our normal LGMA luncheon meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at noon. Food is normally provided, but occasionally we meet at a restaurant. In such cases, each person pays for themselves.
Our February luncheon will be hosted at noon on Tuesday, February 18 by Generations Church. Generations Church is located at 5718 East Highway 377 in Granbury.
Our speaker this month will be Boots Hubbard, Director of Missions for the Paluxy Baptist Association. He will speak about ministry support systems.
Boots has served as Director of Missions for the Paluxy Baptist Association since 2022. In this role he works with approximately thirty churches. His responsibilities include coordinating seminars, workshops, and events for the association of churches. Often, he is called on to fill the pulpit for member churches whose pastor needs a Sunday off. He also serves on the board of directors for Latham Springs Baptist Retreat and Camp at Latham Springs.
Prior to being selected to be the Director of Missions he was Pastor of Rock Church in Tolar for two years. Before being the Pastor of a local church in Tolar he served as Minister of Education and Music at Waples Baptist Church in Granbury. Hubbard served in numerous small churches from West Texas to Mississippi prior to returning to the DFW Metroplex.
Hubbard has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hardin Simmons University, in Abilene, Texas, as well as a Master of Education degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth.
He has extensive experience in religious broadcasting for both radio and television, having served at the Southern Baptist Radio Television Commission for many years. He was the producer/director of such programs as Jot, Country Crossroads, and The Baptist Hour. He also has had years of experience working with the Billy Graham Crusade TV ministry in numerous cities across America.
