One Nation Under God – 2018

In 2016 the Hood County Pastor Council hosted a special prayer campaign during the weeks leading up to our national elections in early November 2016.  An estimated 5,000 people from over 25 churches and ministries participated.  The event was called ONE NATION UNDER GOD which is inspired by those same special words in our Pledge of Allegiance.   The Prayer Task Force was involved in the planning of this campaign.

As we approach the 2018 mid-term elections, the Hood County Prayer Task Force and the Hood County Pastor Council are again teaming up to conduct a similar prayer emphasis.  It will be held at 6:00 p.m., November 4th in Hewlett Park in Granbury, Texas.

The event title is a powerful reminder that, as Americans, we are to endeavor to be one nation united under the authority of Almighty God.  Unfortunately, the reality is we are a nation far from God.  In fact, we are a people who often try to separate ourselves from God by any means possible and even the Body of Christ isn’t always united.

This campaign will include 21 days of prayer, accompanied by fasting, and daily e-mail devotionals.  It will culminate in the multi-congregational, countywide worship and prayer gathering at Hewlett Park in Granbury at Sunday, November 4th.  Click here to subscribe to the devotional e-mails.

To promote this event, we have designed T-shirts with the One nation Under God logo.  Check with your church to see if they have ordered any or plan to do so.

You can also download a poster file and a slide file for use in promoting this worship and prayer gathering.
