AUMC fostered the Task Force until mid-2016. Following the 2016 National Day of Prayer, the decision was made to bring the Task Force under the auspices of the <a href=\"https:\/\/granburyministries.org\/\"><strong>Lake Granbury Ministerial Alliance<\/strong><\/a> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-684\" src=\"http:\/\/granburyministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/worship-cropped-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"217\" srcset=\"http:\/\/granburyministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/worship-cropped-scaled.jpg 2355w, http:\/\/granburyministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/worship-cropped-276x300.jpg 276w, http:\/\/granburyministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/worship-cropped-942x1024.jpg 942w, http:\/\/granburyministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/worship-cropped-768x835.jpg 768w, http:\/\/granburyministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/worship-cropped-1413x1536.jpg 1413w, http:\/\/granburyministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/worship-cropped-1884x2048.jpg 1884w, http:\/\/granburyministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/worship-cropped-460x500.jpg 460w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>(LGMA) as a means of fostering involvement of more of our Hood County area churches and expanding our scope. We remain eternally grateful to AUMC for shepherding the Task Force (formerly The National Day of Prayer Task Force of Hood County) for about nine years!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The Task Force sponsors or is actively involved in:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/granburyministries.org\/index.php\/national-day-of-prayer\/\">National Day of Prayer<\/a> (first Thursday in May)\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Prayer breakfast (See <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0hI0Xr9VbeI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">video<\/a> of 2019 breakfast.)<\/li>\r\n<li>A worship and prayer gathering on Granbury Square<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/granburyministries.org\/index.php\/one-nation-under-god\/\">One Nation Under God<\/a> worship and prayer gatherings for the community the Sunday evening before Election Day in even years<\/li>\r\n<li>Weekly <a href=\"http:\/\/granburyministries.org\/index.php\/tuesday-prayer\/\">Tuesday Prayer<\/a> for the community<\/li>\r\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/granburyministries.org\/index.php\/kingdom-prayer-guide\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1010\" src=\"http:\/\/granburyministries.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Cover-for-website-tilted-259x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"259\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>Producing a <a href=\"http:\/\/granburyministries.org\/index.php\/kingdom-prayer-guide\/\">Kingdom Prayer Guide<\/a> specific to Hood County (available in both regular and large print versions)<\/li>\r\n<li>Two prayer initiatives:\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>A <a href=\"http:\/\/granburyministries.org\/index.php\/prayer-initiatives\/\">24\/7 Continuous Prayer initiative<\/a><\/li>\r\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/granburyministries.org\/index.php\/prayer-initiatives\/\">Prayer on the Square<\/a><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>Support other regular prayer meetings around the community throughout the year<\/li>\r\n<li>Encouraging believers to pray<\/li>\r\n<li>Training for individuals and churches in effective prayer and prayer ministries<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>We are affiliated with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationaldayofprayer.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">National Day of Prayer Task Force<\/a>.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationaldayofprayer.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click here<\/a> to visit their website and check out what is going on nationally with respect to prayer.
